Glass Spider Authors Take Top Honors at IPA Book Awards

Oh, hi, folks! It's been a minute—but as those of you who have ever owned and operated a small publishing biz can attest to, there's always something else to do besides blog! Today, however, I simply had to drop everything to share the latest news: This week, two books we published were awarded the top prize by the IPA (International Publisher Awards).

First it was our flagship book, American Sons: The Untold Story of the Falcon and the Snowman, co-written by yours truly (with Christopher Boyce and Cait Boyce), which won the gold medal prize for best biography. And then we learned that author Jennifer Irwin's novel, A Dress the Color of the Sky, had tied for top honors in the Romance category.

To say that I was blown away would be a gross understatement. I mean, simply placing in a contest such as this, with fierce competition from thousands of qualified entrants, is an honor. But for two of our books to claim the top prize in their respective categories is a real achievement . . . and one I feel is indicative of the quality of books we strive to produce.

Please join us in congratulating our authors on a job well done! If you haven't already done so, please check out American Sons: The Untold Story of the Falcon and the Snowman and A Dress the Color of the Sky. Both are available in hardcover, softcover, and e-book. There's even an audiobook for American Sons which was published by Tantor Media this year! And, as always, if you or someone you know would like to learn more about how to submit a book to Glass Spider Publishing, check out our submissions process. The world awaits.
